As weekly resident at CRASH every Saturday between Antoine909 is
renowned for taking the dance floor to a darker, tribal, techy level.
His London career began as resident of Soho's Substation alongside
Tom Stephan who between them created an clubland phenomenon and
attracted legends such as Danny Tenaglia, Pete Heller and the Boy's
Own Parties.
Antoine909
now appears on regular guest slots at the Gallery for Tom's highly
lauded Chumbomundo night. His residencies have extended to monthly
CRASH nights in Paris and frequent appearances in LA, San Diego,
Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Prague, Athens, Italy and Switzerland.
With
many productions to date, both solo and with partner Ogi B as "Montreal
Men", Antoine909 gained widespread underground acclaim with
the brooding "Tunnel Mix" of "Judy" (KULT RECORDS).
The track trailblazed a path onto John Digweed's first BEDROCK album
followed by an equally dark overhaul of BPT:'s "Moody"
on the same album.
Other mixes that gathered similar interest include the Antoine909
mix of CELEDA'S 'The Underground' and more recently Steve Lawler
'Rise' on the new "Foundation" Bedrock compilation, SUPERCHUMBO's
"Revolution" for London records ffrr and STEFANO GREPPI's
"Freedom is
" on Alternative Route and 'LA LUNA'
by DJ Kucho and Wally Lopez which has featured in sets by heavyweights
such as Steve Lawler, Tom Stephan and John Digweed.
Having
recently compiled and recorded the CRASH compilation with Princess
Julia on Southeast Recordings, Antoine is currently promoting this
and touring throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. He is also collaborating
on solo work with Marc Almond and has finished the remix of Soft
Cell's new single.
His
recent gigs in Miami for the WMC and consequent encore gigs there
blew the roof off increased demand in the US has led to bookings
from San Diego through Chicago and Boston.
